I read this point in the net -
"Limit the time at which the battery stays at 100%. Prolonged high voltage promotes corrosion, especially at elevated temperatures"
source-http://batteryuniversity.com/index.php/learn/article/charging_lithium_ion_batteries

How far is this true? Can anyone prove this with more explanation please?

More of the same: **broken link removed**. There are many scholarly articles on the subject for sale. One of them is here: **broken link removed**.
