add a fan to enclosure

I am building an enclosure for some electronic equipment (made of sheet metal) and am planning to add a fan (fans?) for cooling. I guess the type of fans would be DC Axial fans, but I am wondering about the size, flow ratings etc. Also, should the air blow in or be taken out?

In the enclosure there would be a motherboard, a DCDC ATX supply, a 100-150W ACDC supply etc.

Thanks

size can be of 4 Inches, which i think will be suitable for your application.
hot air is normally blown outside from the chasis,or else you will be blowing all the extrnal dusts in to your system,if taken inside.
