Anyone can give me some idea how many motor driver are there?
As what I know, there are H-Bridge and Full-Bridge, but how should we choose a motor driver? Any reasons for choosing that? On the other hand, what is the difference between full bridge and h-bridge?

Motor Driver

Hi.

H bridge will give you forward and stop.
F Bridge will give you Forward, Backwards, Stop and brake.

There are ready made parts that have all the parts inside ( www.st.com ) or you can build it your self using an MCU.

Good luck.

Re: Motor Driver

Oh i see... Thaks for the information..

Re: Motor Driver

There may be an ambiguousity of the term but an usual H-Bridge made of four controlled switches (BJT, FET, IGBT) is actually a full bridge respectively a four-quadrant motor controller that performs Forward, Backwards, Stop and brake.

if u want to use an ac motor there are many topologies to implement, half-bridge, full bridge, 3 leg inverter...

each of them has some advantages
and it has been discussed in some papaers.
