What type of inductor is this?

Tore open a computer charger and this was waiting inside. Wondering what kind of inductor this is. Just wanting to know. Thanks! IMG_2762.JPGIMG_2761.JPGIMG_2763.JPG
 

Maybe a common mode choke. Or a transformer. Are there 4 leads on it? Hard to tell from the pictures.
 

Looks like two separate Sections with Two Wires coming from each section.
If so, it is a Transformer.
 

It's a common mode choke. It might also work as a transformer but that isn't what it's designed for. You will find it is wired between the AC fuse and the rectifiers, it's purpose is to pass the differential AC power through but by virtue of the winding direction, it cancels common mode signals. It is part of the interference supression circuit and you will almost certainly find an X2 rated capacitor across both sides of it.
