Recor 27MB/s stream

I have to record a 27MB/s stream and keep about 4Gb of it to post processing.I thougt to use an IDE hard disk to record the stream and an fpga to interface it to the bus.My question is:Are there any cores for the interface avaible on the net?and can the HD substain that transfer?
Thanks

Hi

IDE HD of 7200 rpm give you around 35MB transfer
you are on the limit it can work , but if you use two hd no problem
HD of 15000 rpm give you transfer of 65~ mb (avaliable scsci a lot of money, if you find ide good).

I don see any free hd controller core, but take a look at:

www.opencores.org

Also you have all the technical info of the ata ide in site:

Best regards. 8)
