Dear all,

I am doing CMOS RFIC design. In the school, I am using SpectreRF, Verilog-A to doing the simulation. Using Virtuoso to do the layout drawing. Using Assura or DIVA to do th LVS, DRC and parasitic extration.

However, in the industiral field, are they using this software to design CMOS RFIC. If they are using different software, could you state that what software they are using?

thanks

wccheng

Major vendors to look at are probably AWR (Microwave Office), Cadence (SpectreRF), Agilent (ADS), Mentor (EldoRF), and Ansoft (Ansoft Designer).

Hi wccheng,

Yes vfone is right but, AWR Analog Office is a very suitable package for your application....
It supports complete CMOS RFIC design from Schematic to GDSII generation...
It has front end HSPICE & HB Simulators & Integrated Layout, Extraction & DRC....

It support popular Foundries like TSMC & Jazz Semi...
