i understand that ac voltage is applied to a tv , and at the bridge rectifiers it is converted to dc current. can ayone tell me where or what part of the rectifiers i can measure for real dc voltages and what is the amount.
The DC voltage will be roughly equal to the peak voltage of the AC line. If the AC voltage is 120V, then the peak is 169.2V, so you should measure about 165V.
If the AC line voltage is 220V, then the peak is about 310V.
BUT I MUST STRESS THAT THIS IS A DANGEROUS THING TO DO, MEASURING INSIDE A TV WITHOUT PROPER ISOLATION. THIS IS BEST LEFT TO A SPECIALIST.
