What is XSPICE and how is it different from Orcad or Pspice?

What is XSPICE and what's different between it and orcad or Pspice?

Xspice is based on the original Berkely spice (it can do everything the original spice can) but includes the ability to incorporte arbitrary user models. I think it originated at Georgia Tech so you can probably find more info there.

A lot of the newer EDA spice packages are based on xspice. Pspice also has extensions to the original Berkely spice, and afaik uses no legacy code. Pspice is as good as anything for low frequency work - otherwise look at HSPICE.

Xspice is fast but Hspice is more good...i don't have trust in Xspice. i simulte same circuit with Xspice and Hspice and the results are different. try it both and you will se the difference .

i dont know how good is xspice, but, i know that Hspice is the tool in simulation iof IC by the industrie.

Try Hspice and SmartSpice. Both are good. First is more accury, the latter is faster.

However, Hspice is the most used analog simulator in industry. This tells everthing ....
