What is use of Ground in every circuit and what is its importance

In every electronic circuit, we use ground. What is the use of ground connecting in every circuit, what is its importance. One we are using positive and other is using negative or ground, what does it mean. Can you clarify it.
 

Thank you for useful link showing that is very much useful . Any other practical experience answer for ground.
