It does seem a tricky little devil... If I had to guess I'd say an eeprom based on the M9 part but its hard to
guess without knowing more - as you found yourself there's nothing on the ST site.
the 6Hex bit is curious too - maybe buffer or something but that seems a bit obvious.
If you dont get an answer on their forum let us know more about what the board is etc and I'll dig
out some chinese "alternate supplier" lists and see if I can spot it there.
tell us what the board is and provide a better picture of what else is on it and maybe we can work it out.
what is the board out of.
