what is the temperature range for a medical chip?

Hello, everyone,

I am designing IC for medical application. For the temperature range, I currently think it should be between 0 and 60, in Fahrenheit degree.

So is this range ok?

For industrial ICs, it is -20C to +80C.
For medical I think it should be the minimum to maximum natural temperatures on earth which are habitable. Maybe 0F to 100F

If the chip is packaged inside a probe that need to be sterilized by autoclave, must support temperature ranging beyond 120 °C.

If this chip will works close to biological cells it is important to not dissipate to much power. I remember the first neuro chip prototype for readout signals from retina cells which produce so much heat and changing cells into scrambled eggs ;-)

Hello, everyone,

between 0 and 60, in Fahrenheit degree.

That range is both cool and very narrow. It should be at least the commercial grade, 0 to 70 Celsius.
