What`s SCPI?

Does Anyone know anything about Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI)?
Does 8051 support it?I guess not.

SCPI is the standard language for programming instruments such as Spectrum analyzer, printer, Signal Generator and other instruments.
8051 dose not support it.
