in the hypertext terminal or any other software/interface, if I write "A" what will be transmitted data through the RS-232 cable?

will it be the ASCII code or any kind of binary format?

Re: RS-232 data format

it will be ascii code of 'A' with extra bits start , stop and parity bit.
