Hi folks,

Do you know what is resistance for water (sea water, distilled water..........etc) ?
Does resistance for water vary for a large range ?

Now I am doing a project by using water resistance to turn on or off the NPN.

Thanks,
ricky

Re: water resistance

Can you be more precise?
Actually salt increases the conductivity.
Here is a project which senses the salt level in water or liquid.
Found at h**p:www.redcircuits.com

Here is the circuit for more info on how the circuit works go to their website.
It is called salt taster.
If this is not what you are looking for add details.
Good luck

Re: water resistance

it's better to measure the variable capacitance instead of rezistance... so try this:

hope this helps,

Re: water resistance

normal drinking water 500k-1M
i tested it .
