want to know what is the requirement for PhD admission in UCLA or Berkeley etc universities ? i m from india do i need to clear GRE ? I have 3 yrs of exp in Analog design & done M.Tech. (Microelex).

You need to take up GRE and TOEFL and if required maybe even TSE. Also to get an admit into top Universities, you should have good academics and prove that you have the research ability. The GRE score has to be very good.
Try to get in touch with an advisor at the university. You may also browse their website for more information.

Also getting into such universities and contacting advisors for more accurate reply and also gathering relavant documentations before applying to such universities is recommended. Good score in GRE would entitle you for schlorships. Letters of Recommendations from your previous proffesors would give difinite edge and SOP would get you closer to admission during the admission process.

If u have a good reference ,things work out. You should have some papers by this time,as u have completed Masters.Surely this will help.

Is it important to have a paper out ?

How to get a full scholarship ? What are the usual Benchmarks for awarding scholarships ?
