What is the quasi TEM and its applications?

about quasi TEM

i am able to tell about what is called as TE,TM or TEM..but i couldn't for quasi TEM..What is called ...what are applications ....it what type of conducting system like 1 or 2 conductor system....

There are no pure-TEM waves in the world because of conductor losses and or dielectric inhomogeneity.
Therefore,in the microstrip line and co-axial cable,electromagnetic waves propagate as Quasi-TEM waves.
Quasi-TEM waves have slightly the traveling direction components.
