What is the meaning of the term "fidelity" that I study in LC tank circuits?

Please explain me clearly.

Thanks in advance.

Fidelity = faithfulness; quality of sound reproduction. (From a dictionary {a book setting forth alphabetically, words of a language with meanings}). No relevance to tank circuits at all, other then the output signal is a true reproduction of the input signal, so I guess we are talking minimum phase errors.

Fidelity is related to the simulation/behavioural/spice model of a system. It shows depth of modelling. Say a resistor model can be modify to take care for any temperature variation/ skin effect/ tolerances then will be said a moderate Fidelity mode. If we can incorporate alomost all the practical variation in resistor then we will say it as high Fidelity model.

Fidelity is the accuracy with which an electronic system reproduces the sound or image of its input signal.
