how to calculate it?

hi,
input resistance is nothing but the resistance as seen into the input terminals. to understand the concept u need to go through the basic books of network analysis. we know that the V=IR.
if we have a two port network then according to above equation, equivalent resistance seen into the source will be Vi/I i.e. total (input voltage)/(input current).
I recommend shaums serires book of "theory and analysis of electic circuits".
