What is the maximum value of Vref in PIC16F877A?

Please elaborate.
if you mean Pic's Power supply it is 5 Volt.

No, you canno do that. Check the datasheet and you will see that the reference voltage has to be lower than the supply voltage, so the maximum reference is 5V, even less if your power supply can drift.

Hi,
Maximum value of Vref. = Vdd, So, you can not use 12V Vref.
