allegro ipf

what is the IPF file exported from Allegro viewer?
the file extension is PLT.
I need to get a DXF, but I dont have allegro, just allegro viewer.
if I open it with irfanview or with a Plot-to-DXF converter, the result will blank. With irfanview it displays a white 600*600 blank file, the converter result is a 13kB file with some code but no image.
