What is the importance of copper pour area ? And how do we design/ decide the area of Copper Pour Area for a purticular net.
Can you tell me how to design the ground area also in PCB
Thanks in Advance
copper pour area is a copper zone on the routing layer attached to a net/track to reduce heating and allow thermal relief due to high current. It is mainly used on power supply tracks.
a 2.5mm track can carry 8A on a 35um thickness at 30°c
Copper pour is used for different purpose and to the application of the Pcb,for eg it can also be used for Emi,shielding for critical signals etc..like wise there are other issues too, please google for more information, hope this will help you.
