What is the future for CMOS Analog IC Designers ?

Not open for further replies.
semiconductor industry is contracting.

anyone working in 65nm cmos yet ? 45nm cmos ?

thanks.

CMOS analog IC designers have good future till another twenty years but they would have to fastly adopt to the latest trends otherwise their existence in the market would go waste..

The future is right now.

Geometric programming for design optimization, UWB and power management (self-powered circuits). This is all because today's cicuits are "oversized" (If that term do exist), and they're not giving the best they can give. Even today 0.35 um process is giving better results than 0.13 um with those design optimization procedures.

low power consumption and organic transistor?

Whatever it goes, the ball is in the programers field.

They now must wake up and get the very best of parallell processing. So everybody take a nap for now. We'll think about the future later ;)

how the nanotetchnology will effect the cmos industry

hi!

wide future still ahead! there's a vast field that's untapped mainly because everyone is going for digital. there's still the concept of the analog computer that's underdevloped. neural nets, etc... and analog is almost always full custom. so tools most of the time cannot or merely replace the analog design engineer.

from my viewpoint, analog ic engineer will continuously play a more imptortant part in at least 10 years.

every career is a chanllenge to body

so you can not change the trend of the technology

but you can ajust yourself to the requirement

the point of this post is how to change yourself to adjust to the trend.

maybe you can help in that area.

Biomedical,AD/DA,it's very important

Gold Knows, Maybe.

Added after 1 minutes:

several tens of years ago, we even had not any IC.

i thank Data Converters and power managment ICs are always useful

Of course ADC and PLL have promising future.

push your boss down stairs!!!
