what is effect of frequency on transformer?how does change in air gap effects a transformer? how does change in magnetic material and change in no. of turns effects the operation of transformer?

Re: transformers related

Dear sharma
Hi
If you increase the frequency , your transformer (Core ) will be smaller and of course number of turns will decrease .
it is more economical and certainly the dissipation will decrease too .

Re: transformers related

sir , is there any formula for these derivations...

Re: transformers related

V=4.44fNBsAs
V=L*di/dt=N*dBS/dt

so in case of high power transformation then if we use high frequency then the size of the transformer will be reduced

Hi Again
When frequency be increased number of turns will be lesser , because lower XL will be required . size of core will be lesser because your frequency is higher and thus the required magnetic flux will be created as well with lower sizes .

only other query is that

if i have higher frequency then must also my ckt designed to work that range
