Hi, all friends
Usually i saw the term "dynamic range" from ADC paper. I think It means some spec. on SNR, SFDR etc. I want to know what is the definiton of dynamic range" and how to get high dunamic range. It is a big topic. All friends express their ideas in brief please.
Thanks in advance.
from Abo's PhD thesis, I found the formulae DR=(αVdd)²/(KT/C)
Re: What is the definition of "dynamic range" in A
Dynamic range is defined as ratio of maximum possible to minimum possible input signal.
Minimum is always limited by the noise sources at input and maximum is full signal i.e. refernce for ADC. Here noise power is KT/C and maximum possible signal is VDD.
So dynamic range is sqrt of square(VDD)/noise(i.e KT/C).
