What is the Crossed-Field Antenna (CFA)?

The basic principle of the CFA is to allow a radiated outward poynting vector as a result of crossing the E and H fields generated from the CFA structure. Some people have claimed that it could be an effective and efficient radiator. Unfortunately, I have performed experiments on the CFA structure and have failed to find any conclusive evidence.
