Critical Dumpling

Dear all,

Anyone could explain to myself what's the meaning of Critical Dumpling in Control Engineering System.

Hope to hear from you all soon.

Thanks & best regards,
Sie Kiam

Critical Dumpling

do you mean crital path?

Critical Dumpling

Critical dumping it is the boundaring between subamortiguation (starts to oscillate < 0.7071), and over amortiguation ( excess of amortiguation > 0.7071).

Critical Dumpling

it is a point at which resistance(s) and resistance of all remaining nonresistances are equal .....if they are unequal they become either underdamping or overdamping

Re: Critical Dumpling

It's the exact point where the response of the circuit becomes extremely fast, it's the boundary between overdamped and subamortiguated, in differential equations the solution to a equation which is critically damped are two equal roots

Re: Critical Dumpling

damping factor of a circuit determines your transient behaviour. It determines if the circuit will oscillate before settling or if will slowly rise and settle to the final value and settle. These are the cases of under damping and over damping. Critical damping is when the response doesn't have peaking and settling time is faster
