Hi

Can anybody explain me what is SOC and what does it contains

Is it possible to design analog components/devices also in an SOC?

Re: what si SOC?

SoC is also an ASIC , but it contains many IP integrated to form a complete system.

what si SOC?

SoC is System on Chip. It's a complete system, MPU+peripherals+memory+logic, implemented onto one piece of silicon. Either an ASIC, ASSP, FPGA, CPLD, or something like that.

what si SOC?

maybe contains AD/DA converter

what si SOC?

Ya.. SOC is System On Chip. This can be called as mother of all ASICs. This is an integration of many components like memory, I/o devices, small analog circuits etc. a typical example is the telecom SoC made by TI. An interesting feature is there at h**p://port-70.blogspot.com/2006_07_02_port-70_archive.html
