Hello experts!

What is 74HCT244 (Octal buffer/line driver)?
What does it do?
How does it work?
How does it produce its output?

Thank you

Hi,

What is not clear?
Did you read the datasheet?

Octal = eight times
buffer = (current) amplifier
line driver = it has enough power to drive long wires/traces

HCT = High speed Cmos with Ttl level input; VCC = 5V, ViL = 0.8V, ViH=2V (about)

datasheet gives the most reliable and precise information.

Good luck

This is what I already know.

By the way, is this a current amplifier? How ?

Experts,
How does 74HCT244 can be a current amplifier? Please explain

Hi,

It can deliver more more current at it's output than it consumes at it's input.
This power is supplied by the Vcc and Gnd pins.

Bye
