burried vias

What is mean by blind and burried vias

Blind via example:

You have a 4 layer board. The via goes from the outer layer to an inner layer but does not go though to the opposite outside layer.

Buried Via:

You have a 6 layer board. The via goes from inside layer 1 to inside layer 4. It cannot be seen from either outside layer. Unless you designed the board you would have know way of knowing that it exists

For ease of rememberence

Blind via --blind in one eye--via from one outer layer to any of the inner layers.

Buried Via-- Buried in the earth---we cant able to see---via between the inner layers.
