[SOLVED] What is Linear kernel in SVM

I guess you are talking about the support vector machine classifier. The kernel function is the mathematical representation of the limit of each group of data patterns. Depending on how these data are correlated and superimposed on hyperplane, you can select a linear or nonlinear model for the function.
