Hi,
can somebody please tell what is lcd mapping in brief? & how it is done in software?

I think you are referring Arduino Lcd Library. Lcd Mapping means mapping the Lcd pins to different Arduino Pins like connecting Lcd RS pin to Arduino pin 5 so this is called mapping RS pin to pin 5.

LCD mapping can also refer to pixel addressing. Defining which addresses or select lines are needed to turn one pixel on or off in a matrix display.
Which is it?

Brian.
