Re: Deep NWel

deep Nwell is used for substrate guard. If you want to get a clean substrate
in chip, you can use it to separate from the noise substrate.

Re: Deep NWel

Deep N-well or buried N-well is a nwell layer implanted deeper down in the substrate than the normal N-well. It is mainly to control the substrate leakage of N-mos and to provide the better isolation.

These processes mainly used for high frequency (RF) circuits.

Re: Deep NWel

How in the Layout we define deep Nwel. I mean is there any dummy layer for defining a wel as deep nwel.

Re: Deep NWel

You have seperate Layer called Deep Nwell which will be laid and surrounding will be Nwell. Layout for Deep Nwell have specific design rules which fab gives.

Re: Deep NWel

You should carefully use the Deep NWell process.

if you use CMOS technology , NMOS & PMOS Transistor on Deep Nwell are a little bit different than Normal P&NMOS On only P-substrate.
You shoud check out a difference.
Thanks!!!

Re: Deep NWel

Deep Nwell process is for RF purpose and needs extra mask and charge.

But it offers better noise performance and the cascode device will not have body effect.
