what is coaxial shielding in analog layout and what are the disadvantages of it.

Also, please explain the advantages and disadvantages of one sided shielding in layout?
 

Coaxial shielding (CS) allows for a rather round-about shielding, whereas side-only shielding (SS) could be insufficient if other signals run below or above and nearby, see this figure: coaxial_shielding.gif

Advantage of SS (in comparison to CS) is less parasitic capacitance to common (GND), disadvantage of course is worse shielding.
