how to use DXF files in allegro16.3 .i didn't know about dxf file.what it is and how to use.pls explain me

A DXF file is a text based format for the ransfer of mechanical data, created by Autodesk many years ago and now an open format. There are numerous things you can transfer from package to package using DXF, generaly though it is used for board outlineas and restriction area's from mechanical to electrical CAD. Though if you have a 3D package IDF can be a better way of transferring info.
Can be used to add complex shapes to libaries such as the anti static logo or a company logo.
