picnpoke simulator download

How about PICnPOKE?? I think PICnPOKE package has one (PIC16F84) simulator which is pretty easy to use.. :)

virtual breadboard

I use Mplab for year and it's good and free. Download Mplab 6.20 from ww*.microchip.com

mplab 6.20 download

IF(your Pic is handled by Proteus) THEN (use Proteus)
ELSE (download MPLAB 6.13 )

software free picnpoke simulator

Proteus and MPLAB 6.13 are what I use.

proteus brochure

virtual breadboard is ok but is limited too a few more pics than proteus

the best "simulator " is a realtime icd in circuit debug unit
or a development board used in icd mode

then you can debug in full hardware

but as for software proteus or umps {universal multi processor simulator}
it handles lots of pics
but has a plain boring ide with no cad

and no fun

so is for purests

a bit like an expensive mplab but handy none the less

what's Proteus ? who can intriduce it to me ? or give me a link?
