Re: Double Diode

Two diodes in a single package = double diode.
advantages: lower cost per diode, and because are typically fabricated monolithically they all have the same electrical parameters (as close as possible :D ) forward voltage, reverse current, diode capacitance.
Used in: oscillator modules, balanced mixers, rectifiers...

Re: Double Diode

By your statement . it should have 4 terminal but it has only three pins .How?

Re: Double Diode

Well, the number of terminals is related to the package used and the application designed for. :D

There are many situations where the two diodes have a common terminal,
so it’s cheaper to use a three terminals package.
