I'm planning to built my own 12VDC to 220V AC inverter, with a power of 2KW or higher. Do you have any idea how to do the test and equipment needed once I completed my inverter project.

exactly, knowledge what testing I need to do after my project is completed.
Ex. the actual voltage and waveform at max power output.

u can use Oscilloscope to see the wave shape + output voltage + frequency,
use load meter to apply a specify load on it

thanks...

-Oscilloscope
-Power meter
but what dummy load I can use to for a 2KW? is there any brand name for this dummy load.

yes, nice idea... cheaper and effective solution.
