what does this mean? cannot create a recusive symbol

I tried to create a symbol from netlist. but it always gives me this warning mgs:
cannot create recusive symbol. what does it mean. How do I resolve it?
I tried searching cadence site, but no luck.

I suppose you want create block with the name that is already used in your netlist.

this would happen if you call that particular symbol within itself... i mean usage of the symbol inside its own code....
