probe feed port in ie3d

hello people: actually i need to feed a patch array structure with a probe feed, but i´ve a problem. My sustrate is h=5mm so i have to set: start Z coordinate=0, end Z coordinate=5 (in the Probe-Feed to Patch dialog), but i don´t konw what exactlly means "positive level"... anyone could explain me what i have to put there? (why 0.1, for example)

i look the help file but i didn´t found a good explanation :?

thank you a lot!

Re: probe feed port in ie3d

You can use ie3d's initial value...

In ie3d manual, it writes something about probe feed model.

Re: probe feed port in ie3d

Dear xeneixe,
the positive or negative levels are introduce subsection edge ponts. they divide the probe near the feed, forcing small size mesh there. this increase the precision. however, the ie3d pre values are precise enough (its 10% of probe length), so be not uneasy with it .

rgrds, marti
