What does INL in DAC mean?

Any body who understand what INL means..i get sth but i dint understood compltely..

You can think about it as a measure of nonlinearity in the ckt. For eg in DAC if you give all the 2^N codes in an increasing order what you expect is a linear ramp at the output. But it wont be linear. So if you give a digital sine code and see the fft you will find other frequency components other than fundamental present.
