Green's Function

when Im solving spiral inductor by EM simulator , it always show Green's Function.
What does Green's Function mean ?

Re: Green's Function

Hi, myem: Many modern circuits are layered structures. They can be simulated very efficiently and accurately using the method-of-moment which is related to the Green's function. Basically, Maxwell equations are some equations related to E and H fields in the differential form. However, for layered structures, we can represent the E and H field as a weighted integrals of current, or E or H = integral_of { Green_funciton * J } wher ethe Green_function is a dyadic and J is the vector current density distribution. Green_function can be simple or complicated. Using the integral form of Maxwell's equations, we can convert it into a set of linear equations to solve.

Regards.

hi
i suggest you refer to Field "Computation by Moment Methods" by (Roger Harrington).
this book is interested.
