What does embedded system design mean?

embeded system

It's a name to differentiate with general purpose computer system. embedded system is designed for specific application.

Embeded system usually means SOC or RTOS in chip. However simply 51MCU dev. is embeded system too, however whole one route in original.

Hey

Embedded system simply means that you will use some sort of a CPU or MCU, with a peice of software to control the I/O lines of that CPU or MCU and their surrouning circuit components, operating system is not used here as some people think, cuz the availabe program memory, will not serve for graphics processing for example, RTOS, is an advanced programming facility for MCUs, that acts like an operating system, but can't be comparable to windows OS for example.

Sorry if I said any thing wrong, but I think this is the case.
