What does bandwidth exactly signifies?
How does a cable or optic fibre can differ in bandwidth capacity?

thanks & rgds,

Re: Bandwidth?

Hi
the bandwith that we use for cable is related to its frequency. in some cables u can send signals with frequency and if u increase your frequency u can send more data and your bandwith increase but it depends on the physical carachteristic of that table. some medium can send data with some frequency that is they have frequency limitation for example if u can send a data via a copper wirewith the frequency maximun 1Mhz. if u send data with frequency more than it the signal will dead after it passes 1 meter in the wire.
