What is meant by ATG? Is it a DFT technique or a Automated functional verification environment?

Re: what is ATG?

i hope its not ATPG which stands for AUTOMATIC TEST PATTERN GENERATION

Re: what is ATG?

ATG stands for automatic test generator.....

Re: what is ATG?

automatic test pattern genaration
a method of testing a final chip design, involving the automatic creation of test pattern or vectors used to verfiy the opeartion of circuit.the validity of a set of test vectors in based on fault coverage or the abilty of the set of the test vector to identify any manufacturing defects in the circuit.ATPG is done the after final route.

what is ATG?

it is ATG.. not ATPG.. I am confused whether it refers to Functional Verification or something else.. any idea?

Re: what is ATG?

It is related to DFT (Design for testability)....You probably get an overview of this by reading IEEE journals on testability...
