That depends on your interest Thereare many a topics where you can work. For example

1. MEMS based switches and implement in a multi switch ckt replacing relay or active switches.
2. There can be analog or digital VLSI projects either based on device level simulator like Cadence or by VHDL based on FPGA.
3. There can be workson Plasmonics or EDFA or any other nanostructures....
