what do you know about CAN ?

i use spartan 3e kit for automotive project and i want to use CAN to transfer the DATA from the automotive bus to the fpga kit , if any one know how to use CAN ?and where i can get the core ? and any useful information .


please anyone know about that ,it will be nice if you tell me

i think CAN is too slow data rate... but otherwise is ok for most control type use.

the equivalent to CAN but faster version is called ... i dunno, i forget now sorry. but i remember infineon was selling the all in one chip for it just this past june it came out.

One possibility, Xilinx ISE CORE Generator includes a demo version of CAN 1.4 under "Automotive & Industrial". Contact Xilinx or distributor for purchase. I don't know the price.
