Hello,

I am a PIC32 programmer and I have tested the Microchip Graphics display designer and really wasn't that impressed.

I never used a graphics library before, always programmed my own libraries.

I was wondering if I am doing things the long way. What GUI libraries do you guys use.

I was thinking of easyGUI.... What do you think about EasyGUI ?

I was looking at Seeger and a few other GOL's as they do claim that they offer very good graphics quality but cost thousands of dallars.

I find that all the other free graphics libraries offer very simple garaphics and really lack the professional presentation. What do ye all think about this.

All feedback appreciated
Rob

Hi

A good Colleague of mine has use EASYGUI software.

As he say it is an easy to use software for creating GUI interface - Once you learn how it work (and it is very hard to get it from the user manual)

The user manual is written in English by some one who is not familiar with the English language

Also the EASYGUI software is a RAM memory consumer - Dont even start to work with if you have less then 70K byte RAM in your design to spare for the easy GUI (RAM size is display size dependent about -60K for 320x240 16 colors display)
Also a lot of flash memory needed for storing the screen data

The bottom line - the EASYGUI software is a very good (worth it cost) and easy to use, and can save you lot of "time to market" when you learn to work side by side with it limitation.

My colleague has done a four month work in 3 weeks when he use the EasyGUI

All the best
