Some simple questions:
1. How could be a system which has many antennas more robust than one which has one antenna ?
2. How could be a system which need a complex algorithm for receiving and transmitting a signal with many antennas more robust than one which is using one antenna and a simple software ?
Hi melc
MIMO systems add space diversity to systems, so they can increase robustness of systems. for example transmitter send 1 symbol from 2 anttennas, if 1 channel between tx and rx in bad condition then it is more probable in SISO system to fail but in MIMO system that symbol fail in 1 channel but recieved in another channel. then we can say MIMO is robust
