Re: ASIC engg

Hi
Though u are a fresher companies expect u to know some of the tools. U should be good in digital design with verilog in case of digital and
analog design with pspice is on the analog side
and u should also be experieced with some mini projects or main project in ur degree level. and u should be 100%fit to be answered on your academic project and u should be thorough with that project.
and should be good in answering basic level of questions in vlsi like cmos design.
Finally u should be thorough in basics of vlsi

Re: ASIC engg

Basic things u need to know include

1. Basic Digital Electronics
2. Verilog/VHDL programming basics(Basic theory)
3. What is ASIC & FPGA ?
4. Tools used in full front end flow.

But dont try to understand much about tools if u want to be in front end vlsi. But, if u want to be on EDA front, better understand tool concepts.
