Hi ,

What are isolation cells what is their significance in DFT
 

Isolation Cell

Isolation cells is used to prevent physical damage to sections of the IC that interface to power switch-off modules in low power design.

Designers put level-shifters between blocks that are running at different voltages and can use isolation cells to shut-down any voltage-domain if we don't need it to run.
